JEDI WEAPONS
This fearsome looking double-bladed lightsaber belongs to the Sith Lord Darth Maul. This model is similar to the one Exar Kunn used 4,000 years before Maul's time.
Obi-Wan Kenobi's first constructed lightsaber is shown below. It is of a simple design with a belt clip at one end and an activation button at the top (red button). This button is unusual becuase in the classic series, the switches were rectangular and quite large.
This is Qui-Gon Jinn's lightsaber. It has a green blade which is activated by the large red button towards the right (as Obi-Wan's is). Jinn's saber lacks the prongs at the belt clip end, but is much smoother and sleeker than his apprentice's.
This next lightsaber will shock you! Were you aware that a small, green Jedi Master by the name of Yoda carried an "elegant weapon of pure energy?" Well, he does! It has a blue blade, and was specially created for the little guy. The lightsaber, however, was never shown in the filming of Episode One. Any ideas why? I have none unfortunately.... Like that old saying goes, "You learn something everyday...."
